Petition to Hekate During the Covid-19 Pandemic

The following petition was created by several members of the Sanctuary over on Facebook. It is shared openly for the world to use in an effort to lessen the impact of the virus across the globe. Lady Hekate, we beseech you,

If it be Your Will and for the good of all

That in these dark times of sickness, suffering and fear

We ask that you, Hekate Borborophorba, Eater of Filth,

Devour this illness that surrounds us and take it into the abyss.

Hekate, Lady of the Crossroads,

Help the children of the earth

To understand and heed the lessons of this virus quickly,

So that the lesson of this scourge does not linger.

We ask this for the healing of mankind!

She who works from afar, Apotropaios, averter of misfortune

Deflect the poison-tipped arrows of plague-sending Apollon

May they miss their mark and fall useless upon the earth.

Nurturing Mother of All, Appease Him on our behalf

Nourish and sustain us, keeping us safe and sane.

Paiônios, heal our world!

Touch the afflicted with Your healing hands

Giving strength to those that care for them.

Remove all obstacles in the path of our healers

Who bravely and selflessly stand on the frontlines,

Keep them safe and strong in these times of uncertain crisis.

Deliver us from this illness that plagues Your people.

Help to purge and purify its devastating effects,

So that there be lasting change in the world

Towards compassion and community.
